At some companies, culture points are just phrases painted on a wall or tucked away in an employee handbook. But around here, “Learn & Grow Together” is a living, breathing practice.
Learning isn’t just about checking off a training box; it’s about a willingness to challenge our own habits, evolve our skill sets, and elevate the way we support both our team members and our clients. Because when one of us grows, the whole ecosystem thrives.
To give you a real look at what this looks like in practice, we asked our team what they’ve been sinking their teeth into lately. As it turns out, growth shows up in very different—but equally powerful—ways.
1. Growing Our People: The Power of Stepping Back
True leadership isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about creating an environment where others feel safe enough to find them. For Dacey, the biggest growth milestone lately hasn’t been about adopting a new tool, but rather mastering the art of letting go.
Dacey: “Learning is one of the most valued focuses when it comes to our culture. Personally, I love learning and am surrounded by some of the most amazing people to learn from. Lately, the biggest thing I am learning is to let go of things. I have worked on delegating tasks appropriately but still struggled with hand holding my team when I did so. I am learning the value of giving my team their independence and empowering them to handle what I have trusted them with. I have seen that it boosts their confidence and problem solving skills, showing me that hand holding doesn’t save time but rather hurts growth.”
By trading micro-management for empowerment, Dacey is proving that stepping back is often the fastest way to help a team step up.
2. Growing Our Value: Moving from Metrics to Meaning
While internal growth shapes our team dynamics, external growth directly impacts our clients. For Taylor, the latest learning curve has been all about transforming data into a transparent, impactful narrative that proves real business value.
Taylor: “Right now, I am focusing on leveling up our SEO reporting process to deliver deeper, more transparent value to our clients. Instead of just listing the tasks we’ve completed, I’m learning how to build reports that tell a compelling story—connecting our day-to-day efforts directly to tangible performance outcomes. This means moving past basic metrics to clearly explain where and how our strategic optimizations are driving growth, proving not just what we do, but exactly how it’s moving the needle for their business.”
Instead of hiding behind confusing spreadsheets, Taylor is learning how to bridge the gap between “what we did” and “why it matters”—ensuring our clients are scaling right alongside us.
3. Growing Our Efficiency: Trading Busywork for Brainpower
Growth doesn’t always mean adding more to our plates; sometimes it means using technology to clear off the tedious tasks so we can focus on what really matters. For Jason, our Director of Operations, the latest frontier of learning has been all about leveraging AI to protect the team’s creative energy.
Jason: “Recently I’ve been looking for ways to leverage AI tools to make the Vitality South team more efficient. To be honest, when I first started looking into AI tools for our agency, I was mostly trying to figure out how to stop my team from burning out on repetitive tasks. As Director of Operations, my goal isn’t to replace the human magic that makes our marketing work—it’s to clear out the administrative noise. Learning how to weave AI into our daily workflows has completely changed how we operate. By letting these tools handle the tedious, repetitive admin tasks, we’ve managed to buy back hours of actual creative time. It’s given the team the breathing room to focus on high-level strategy, making us not just faster and more efficient, but a lot sharper too.”
By automating the routine noise, Jason is ensuring that our collective “human magic” has the space it needs to build smarter strategies for our clients.
4. Growing Our Toolkit: Embracing the “Aha!” Moments
True growth requires getting comfortable with being a beginner again. Whether it’s a backend tracking system or a fresh creative canvas, mastering new platforms takes patience. For Megan, this month has been a masterclass in diving into the deep end of new software.
Megan: “This month has involved a few new tools, mainly not only new time tracking but two different new web builders to learn the ins and outs of. While there are always a few ups and downs with learning an entirely new thing, there is also always usually some feeling of success once you figure out ‘oh, THAT’S how that thing works’ or ‘oooh, I can do this thing much easier now’. So, lots of learning about expanding knowledge of how to do things happening.”
By leaning into the messy middle of the learning curve, Megan reminds us that the temporary friction of a new tool is always worth the payoff of a faster, sharper workflow.

The Power of the Collective Curve
Whether it’s rethinking leadership styles, redefining how we show value, automating the administrative noise, or wrestling with a brand-new piece of software, growth around here doesn’t look just one way. It’s messy, it’s varied, and it requires us to willingly ditch the safety net of “the way we’ve always done things.”
But that discomfort is exactly where the magic happens.
We don’t expect anyone on our team to know everything on day one, but we do expect a relentless curiosity to find out. By pushing ourselves to Learn & Grow Together every single day, we ensure we’re bringing our absolute best, sharpest selves to the table—not just for each other, but for the clients who trust us to help them scale.
Because at the end of the day, a culture that refuses to stand still is the only kind capable of moving the needle.
