An Attitude of Gratitude: Why We Are “Happy to Help”

Author

Dacey

In a recent check-in, Ashley discusses the importance of an “attitude of gratitude” and how the Vitality South team extends it into their day-to-day work. Across all of our businesses, one of our core culture points is the simple phrase: “happy to help”.

The Point of Our Business

Because we are a service-based business, our entire purpose is helping customers. When a client calls in with a need or a request, that interaction is exactly the point of our business.

It is easy for professionals to get overwhelmed and view incoming calls with a negative attitude, thinking, “here is one more request”. However, operating with an attitude of gratefulness shifts that perspective entirely. We choose to be thankful that a client thought of us and decided to call us. As Ashley points out, our customers are the “life-giving reason” we are in business in the first place.

A Daily Reminder

This culture point is so ingrained in our operations that many of our team members sign their email signatures with the phrase “happy to help”. When we are asked if we can handle a task, our immediate answer is, “Oh yeah, we’re happy to help”.

Ultimately, this phrase serves as a constant internal reminder that our whole purpose is to help businesses.

If you have a project or a specific request you need us to handle, reach out. We are happy to help.
